The recent meeting of HSE Academic Council, held in-person on the 21^st June, witnessed the official ceremony of presenting badges of honour and, for the first time in HSE’s history, HSE Distinguished Service Medals. Among the recipients of the Badge of Honour (Second Class) was Oleg Zamkov, ICEF BSc Programme Academic Supervisor.

May 22-26, HSE delegation had been on a visit to Sabanсi University International Partnership Week. Based in Istanbul, Sabanсi University is one of Turkey’s leading research schools in the field of economics and social sciences. Attending the venue were also Sabanсi University’s partners in Asia and Latin America, particularly Israel, India, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, and Peru among other countries.

In May 2023, Anfisa Loboyko, who earned her bachelor’s from ICEF, assumed the post of Vice President – M&T Investment Banking at Morgan Stanley (London). During her study at ICEF, Anfisa won the Silver Nestling scholarship and received the University of London award for outstanding academic achievement.

At the recently held MSc Financial Economics Webinar, the prospective students learned about the admission requirements, instruction, and prospects after graduation. Invited to speak before the audience were also programme graduates. They shared their experience of starting a career and gave tips on how to achieve academic success and jumpstart career.

HSE has celebrated the completion of its largest sports and fitness event – Inter-Campus Student Football Festival HSE CUP 2023. Competing in it were the teams of HSE Moscow, HSE Nizhny Novgorod and HSE St. Petersburg.

The 15^th of May witnessed the senior managers, programme coordinators, faculty members and students of ICEF and the Faculty of Economic Sciences (FES) welcome the officials and administrators of the International Department of the School of Economics, Shanghai University.

June 25 to July 8, the Southwestern University of Finance and Economics in Chengdu, China, is hosting the 2023 Global Academy Summer Camp. Corporate Green Innovation and Sustainability. Registered as its participants are eleven bachelor's and master's students of ICEF.

The Econometrics Universiade-2023 has announced its results. This year the contest resumed in-person operation after having been held online for three years, and was marked by the exceptional performance of the ICEF students, its winners.

Professor Sergey Tsyplakov of University of South Carolina Moore School of Business (USA) has recently hosted the ICEF student research seminar and met with college faculty. Professor Tsyplakov also contributed to HSE Аpril Conference and did a talk about federal intervention strategies that helps banks to avoid bankruptcy.

With many companies, February is the starting month of the recruiting season and the time for the prospective candidates to meet employers and show talent at career events. Vera Potekhina is in her third year of bachelor's degree at ICEF and has joined several case competitions and projects over the past month.
