ICEF Students to Join Southwestern University of Finance and Economics Summer School (China)
June 25 to July 8, the Southwestern University of Finance and Economics in Chengdu, China, is hosting the 2023 Global Academy Summer Camp. Corporate Green Innovation and Sustainability. Registered as its participants are eleven bachelor's and master's students of ICEF.
The Southwestern University of Finance and Economics (SWUFE) is one of China’s leading providers of training in finance, economics, and management. Organized by SWUFE Global Academy, the 2023 Global Academy Summer Camp. Corporate Green Innovation and Sustainability is designed to promote academic and cultural exchange among students and researchers, giving immediate and plentiful opportunity to experience the swiftly growing megacity of Chengdu.
The Summer School offers a two-week course in environmental economics, green innovation and sustainable development as new business perspectives. Fully developed by SWUFE and building on the latest cases and best practices of “green economy” research and global projects, it gives a thorough insight into green entrepreneurship. Following completion of the course, participants obtain a special certificate.
The time outside the classroom will be filled with campus tour, company visits, and sightseeing. The students will be able to experience the local culture and engage in talks with scientists. They’ll have a chance to try their hand at cooking the traditional Sichuan dishes and have a tour of the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding – the province of Sichuan is known to be the original habitat of this rare animal species. Along with that, there’ll be venues to have fun, make friends and practice sports.
The eleven participants of the 2023 Global Academy Summer Camp. Corporate Green Innovation and Sustainability will have their course and accommodation expenses covered by the host side. Three of them will receive an extra grant from ICEF to cover other costs.
