Associate Professor Anna Yurko holds a PhD in Economics and is coordinating ICEF’s MSc Programme as Assistant Academic Supervisor. Anna’s research interests lie at the interface of economics and social sciences. Her 2015 study into the multiple-child allowance policy, co-authored with Fabian Slonimczyk, was conferred the Yegor Gaidar Award. In this interview with HSE Talks podcast, Anna tells about how economics knowledge helps her to explore the education industry, what’s wrong with current system of career guidance among school students, and which skillset seems to be the most useful for experts of the future.

Professor Sergey Tsyplakov of University of South Carolina Moore School of Business (USA) has recently hosted the ICEF student research seminar and met with college faculty. Professor Tsyplakov also contributed to HSE Аpril Conference and did a talk about federal intervention strategies that helps banks to avoid bankruptcy.

Alexander has a place on ICEF Endowment Fund Board of Trustees. Acting as the moderator was HSE University President Alexander Shokhin.
Philipp Gabunia, Deputy Governor of the Bank of Russia, has recently met with students of HSE University. His lecture opened a series of meetings with leading practicing economists on the development of Russia's economy in the current environment.
