The International Laboratory of Financial Economics (LFE ICEF HSE) and the Center for Institutional Studies (CInSt HSE) jointly organize the 11th ICEF-CInSt International Finance Conference, which in 2022 unites the ICEF International Moscow Finance Conference and the Annual CInSt Banking Workshop "Banking in Emerging Markets: Challenges and Opportunities".

As previously, QS Business Master’s Rankings feature HSE’s five MSc programmes, with ICEF’s MSc Financial Economics remaining in the Top 100 for five years in a row. Having moved up three positions in QS Business Master’s in Finance 2023 (ranking 82nd among 189 globally recognized finance degrees), the programme is Russia’s only master’s in finance with a ranking in the Top 100.

ICEF team of Master’s Programme in Financial Economics has welcomed its new cohort of students at the Freshers' Day – the opportunity for students to meet their teachers, programme counsellors and seniors in an informal setting to learn what to expect from their years as students.
Led by the managers of ICEF and its bachelor’s degree programme, the event has introduced the newly admitted students to ICEF, its organization of teaching, alumni community and how and where to seek support and assistance. The day involved the tour of the campus where the students met with their tutors and got advice from seniors.
Traditionally organized by ICEF Center for Educational Technologies, Introduction to Teaching workshops are designed for teachers who are new to ICEF and are to be taken by all new teachers regardless of their previous experience as lecturers or seminar tutors.
ICEF has prepared a cohort of students from different countries and universities for their master’s study through ICEF Summer Bridge School. A short-term course, ICEF Summer Bridge School is for undergraduate and graduate students who are planning to apply for admission to ICEF Financial Economics programme next year or a related master’s programme at other universities.
Egor Yurkevich earned his bachelor's from ICEF in 2018 and his master's in Data-Driven Communications from HSE in 2020. Egor assumed his current job as Strategy and Corporate Development Manager at SberMarket in 2021.
