At the recently held Open Day, the team of Master of Financial Economics Programme walked prospective students through details of the learning process and admission. Their talk was followed by Q&A session with alumni and Career Services that gave more information about what students can do with their degree and what academic opportunities can be available for them.

Gleb Zinkovsky earned his bachelor’s from ICEF in 2014. His job as an Associate at PwC (Cyprus) and E&Y (Moscow) was followed by taking Yandex Practicum course, which led Gleb to start a job in fintech. Currently a product analyst at fintech company Jasper (Israel), in this interview Gleb shares what it’s like to start as a tax consultant, steer towards business analytics and finally discover your true calling in product direction.

On March 14, the students of ICEF met with Artur Khalatov, member of the class of 2014 bachelor’s degree graduates and Head of Business Strategy & Economics at Ozon Premium. Organized by ICEF Career Services and Ozon Fintech, the meeting was held right in the company’s office and was followed by a tour of Ozon and Ozon Fintech’s premises, where the students could talk to the staff in a more informal atmosphere.

Guided by Dmitry Kachalov and Kirill Chuiko as mentors, HSE 2 / ICEF team won  the Local stage of CFA Institute Research Challenge, the international financial modeling competition that competed on February 28.

Every year, ICEF awards its best-performing students with a trip to London School of Economics and Political Sciences (LSE) Summer School in London. Eligible for this award are the brightest of the first- and second-year undergraduates, as well as those with excellent progress in ICEF Academia courses. This year, LSE scholarship recipients are two. To the rest of the students, the Summer School courses are available at a 15% discounted price.

Andrei Lukyanov enrolled in ICEF Master of Financial Economicsprogramme in 2019. In his second year, Andrei went to LUISS University in Rome as a double degree student. Currently a financial analyst at TAU Group, the Italian-Russian engineering startup, Andrei speaks on how to prepare for the career as a quant, the opportunities that come with studying abroad, and what duties the financial experts have in e-mobility.

Maria Zolotkova, who earned her bachelor’s from ICEF, believes that it is economics education that provides the grounding for proficiency in brand management and marketing. Maria currently holds the position of Vice President for Brand Development at Azbuka Vkusa (The ABC of Taste). In this interview with Success Builder, Maria tells why she considers FMCG to be the best learning ground for marketers, what brand managers are responsible for, and how her favorite grocery chain employed her as its manager.

Daniil Tsinman earned his bachelor's degree from ICEF in 2020 and his master’s from the London Business School in 2021. Currently an Associate Consultant at BCG office in Moscow, Daniil combines his job with lecturing at ICEF.
