The students of ICEF are regular participants and prize-winners in contests that prepare them for their future jobs. These contests take the form of case competitions, allowing students to demonstrate teamwork skills, problem-solving skills, ability to delegate, debate and present. Here’s how case competitions can be beneficial to students.

Two 4-year students of ICEF, Vlad Dukhanin and Anna Oorzhak, came up with the idea of a charity art sale to promote emerging artists and got it funded by ICEF. Here’s Vlad with details of how they got the event started, what makes art management an exciting career, and how art managers can benefit from financial education.

ICEF graduates make successful careers in leadingcompanies both in Russia and abroad. In 2020, prospective students got a new experience: touring and getting to know universities remotely. After passing entrance exams online, many of them are now studying online and have yet to see HSE University in person. We asked Aiganym Daupbayeva, first-year student of the HSE and University of London Double Degree Programme in Economics from Kazakhstan about her experience attending HSE virtually. She discussed how to get into HSE and take classes without leaving your home, and why international students choose HSE University.

Mikhail Zhitlukhin has been working at ICEF since 2014, when the students chose him as one of the best lecturers. Now Mikhail Zhitlukhin is considered one of the best lecturers in Zoom, according to the survey conducted concerning online education in Spring 2020. Moreover, he has published four papers this year. In his interview he told us why the quality of the material is more important than technical issues and how to make statistics really interesting.

ICEF Career Centre is actively working with a number of leading consulting firms - ICEF Graduates key employers. In addition to career events they organize on campus, these firms also participate in various ICEF initiatives.
