On March 18, 2025, the Southwestern University of Finance and Economics (SWUFE), Chengdu, China welcomed its counterparts to the SWUFE Study Abroad Fair. Russia was represented for the first time at the fair by a delegation from HSE University, including members of ICEF.
Debunk the myths about share investing – such was the goal set by the team of ICEF students and Alfa Bank A-Club analysts for their joint research-to practice study. Successfully completed in February 2025, the study had involved a series of calculations that enabled one important outcome: these are the shares that can yield investors higher, long-term profits and the risks are often overblown.

The Bank of Russia Research and Forecasting Department and the Bank of Russia academic unit at the HSE created a mini-course for HSE International College of Economics and Finance (ICEF). Spanning February 2025, the course gathered an audience of ICEF students seeking deeper insight into the mechanisms of monetary economics and policy, unveiling how monetary analysis tools assist in Bank of Russia’s operations.
On 21 February 2025, the town of Penza witnessed the completion of the National Combat Sambo Championship U-20. The final stage in national team selection, it was participated by +550 male and female juniors who competed for the right to represent Russia on global area at World Sambo Championship 2025 to be held in Indonesia. The gold medal in 98 kg combat sambo was won by Georgy Khvatkin, who earlier won gold at the World Cadet, Youth and Junior Sambo Championship 2024 and is currently in his first year of ICEF International Bachelor’s Programme in Economics and Finance.
