The exhibition was attended by more than 30 universities, including the world-renowned universities of Birmingham, Nottingham, Glasgow, Zurich, Athens, Palermo, Hong Kong, and Singapore, as well as Lincoln University and the George Washington University (USA), and the University of Queensland (Australia). Another 20+ universities joined the event remotely by providing printed materials (LSE Summer School flyers, promos, brochures, booklets, and more) for distribution by the organisers. The event served as a reminder that HSE students who study at SWUFE can meet international students from around the world.

The ICEF HSE - RIEM SWUFE Bachelor’s and Master’s double-degree programmes (DDPs) were presented at the fair, delivered on the Chinese side by the SWUFE Research Institute of Economics and Management (RIEM). Currently available exchange and summer schools were also showcased. Both DDPs operate on a 'mirror' basis, whereby bachelor's students spend two years at SWUFE and another two at HSE, and master's students study 1.5 years at SWUFE and 1.5 at HSE. The speakers gave a detailed account of the curriculum, its benefits, and career prospects, as well as some insight into living in Moscow.

Yan Minghao and Liu Minglin, two Chinese students currently studying on master’s and bachelor’s programmes at ICEF, shared their experience of student life and living in Russia. The students explained that ICEF and its programmes meet very high expectations, and also shed light on how vibrant and safe life in Moscow is.

During the ensuing discussion with the Dean of RIEM, Yan Dong, the parties focused on the progress of the bachelor’s double-degree programme (which ICEF students first embarked on in September 2024) and the preparations for next year's recruitment of candidates to the double-degree programmes, both in Chengdu and Moscow. There has been growing interest in the DDPs among Chinese students: as soon as the agreement for the master’s DDP entered into force, applications from potential candidates started arriving.

Also in attendance at the fair was Li Zhisheng, Vice President and Professor of SWUFE. Having made himself familiar with ICEF's degree programmes, Professor Li said he welcomed further support for cooperation between ICEF and RIEM.

While RIEM has partnered with a number of British universities for double-degree bachelor's programmes, the study opportunities in Russia—including those at ICEF—have been meet with greater interest from students. This is in no small part due to ICEF’s high academic standards and unique international exposure, created by a team of talented teachers and scholars in order to foster graduates’ career success. Moscow has proved a popular destination for SWUFE students’ thanks to its living conditions, cultural diversity, and affordable tuition fees.

In 2025, SWUFE turns 100 years old. The upcoming anniversary is being promoted throughout the university's venues, and multiple partners have already confirmed that they will be joining in the celebrations—including HSE University.
