Asan Kurmanguzhin graduated from the ICEF BSc programme in 2008, then enrolled on the MSc programme at the London School of Economics. After having worked in McKinsey he also received an MBA from Harvard. He is now a CEO at SberMarket, a part of Sberbank’s ecosystem. SberMarket is a successful online grocery delivery service, which was recently launched all around Russia. In the interview Asan spoke about career building in the technological sphere, e-commerce and the main difficulties of studying on the MBA.

Yury Kiselev graduated from ICEF in 2006, and after that entered the MSc programme at Cass Business School in London – one of the best business schools. Now Yury is a Director at Société Générale Bank (London office) and Head of Central and Eastern Europe, CIS & Russia on the international Debt Capital Markets. In this interview he told us what ‘bonus’ ICEF confers on its graduates, how to recognize your true purpose and why goals should be ‘over the top’.

Vladimir Mukharlyamov enrolled at ICEF after his success in the All Russian Olympiads in Economics and Entrepreneurship. After graduating from ICEF BSc in 2008 he continued studies on the MSc programme in Finance and Economics at the London School of Economics. On completion of his MSc Vladimir started a PhD in Economics at Harvard University. Since 2016 he has worked as an Assistant Professor of Finance at Georgetown University. His research has been published in The Journal of Financial Economics and The Review of Financial Studies. Vladimir is a winner of Golden HSE Award in the Alumni Success category.

Martsella Davitaya is an ICEF 2017 BSc programme graduate who received first class degrees from both HSE and University of London. Right after her BSc she entered a PhD programme at Columbia University (USA), where she is currently studying, doing research and teaching. In the interview she spoke about her career choices, her impressions of studying at Columbia and her future plans.

In 2018 Vladimir Malygin was awarded master degrees from both ICEF and Erasmus University, Rotterdam in the Netherlands. Now he works as a quant in the Dutch company Aegon. In his interview he told us whatquants do, how it is possible to study for two master’s degrees at the same time, andwhy personal qualities are important for candidates who apply to be quants.
