Of the 18 students who presented their thesis studies, 3 received the maximum score (10) and 7 excellent scores (8 and 9). This year’s class’s theses deal with topics as diverse as cryptocurrency markets, pension schemes, gender impact on financial transactions, and even climate trade and carbon futures pricing.

May 22-26, HSE delegation had been on a visit to Sabanсi University International Partnership Week. Based in Istanbul, Sabanсi University is one of Turkey’s leading research schools in the field of economics and social sciences. Attending the venue were also Sabanсi University’s partners in Asia and Latin America, particularly Israel, India, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, and Peru among other countries.

In May 2023, Anfisa Loboyko, who earned her bachelor’s from ICEF, assumed the post of Vice President – M&T Investment Banking at Morgan Stanley (London). During her study at ICEF, Anfisa won the Silver Nestling scholarship and received the University of London award for outstanding academic achievement.

At the recently held MSc Financial Economics Webinar, the prospective students learned about the admission requirements, instruction, and prospects after graduation. Invited to speak before the audience were also programme graduates. They shared their experience of starting a career and gave tips on how to achieve academic success and jumpstart career.

Suleyman Karibov, who currently serves as a risk analyst at Nordic real estate investor NREP in Luxembourg, enrolled in ICEF MSc Financial Economics in 2019 and holds his bachelor’s from Plekhanov Russian University of Economics. Francesca Macchia studies Finance at LUISS (Rome) and is in her second year of double-degree track with ICEF’s Master of Financial Economics. This year, Francesca’s paper won the third prize from HSE Student Research Paper Competition. Gleb Kudryashov is in his fourth year of undergraduate study and one of the top students in ICEF’s International Programme in Economics and Finance. The Econometrics Universiade-2023 has announced its results. This year the contest resumed in-person operation after having been held online for three years, and was marked by the exceptional performance of the ICEF students, its winners.
