In his second year of studies, ICEF master’s degree student Denis Tetyuk joined the HSE-run academic mobility program. Now a student of Tilburg University in the Netherlands, he follows a learning path that includes, additionally to the course units at his home university, Corporate Financial Reporting, Data Sсienсe Methods, Financial Analysis and Investment Behavior. We asked Denis to share his impressions and why he chose Tilburg University
ICEF’s new master’s level elective
January 9, ICEF master’s students received the first lecture in a series of Risk Management course lectures, delivered by Senior Vice-President, Chief Risk Officer at PAO Sberbank Dzhangir Dzhangirov.
This past summer, Srdan Todorovic successfully defended his Master’s thesis and graduated from ICEF’s Financial Economics programme. He now works in VTB Bank’s retail operations and is considering further graduate studies at HSE. In this interview, he talks about his favourite courses and teachers, what he got out of the Master’s programme, and how learning in Russia differs from Serbian education.

Andrei Kostylev graduated from the ICEF Master’s Programme in 2012, and is now a Senior Manager in the Strategic Direction department at the state corporation Rosatom. On Saturdays, Andrei leads a course in Business Negotiation and workshops on ‘The Foundations of Banking and Finance” for ICEF students. Andrei told us a little about his studies and career.
Ksenia Kushner graduated from the Master’s Programme at ICEF in 2015, and later that year joined the team at XENON Capital Partners, one of the leading financial investment consultancies.
Vladimir Shmarov graduated from the Master’s Programme in Financial Economics in 2015 and went on to complete a summer internship at Barclays in London. He now works there full-time as an ESG quant. Vladimir tells us not only about his studies and work in the bank, but also about teaching, dancing and how useful sitcoms can be.
