The HSE News Service spoke to Prof. Maxim Nikitin, Deputy Director of HSE ICEFand Academic Director of the Master’s in Financial Economics, about the college’s international student body and burgeoning partnerships with foreign universities. We also spoke to Minghao Yan, a graduate from China who was awarded the highest marks for the defence of his master’s thesis on gambling behaviour.
In late August, ICEF HSE hosted a delegation from the Vietnam National University–University of Economics and Business (VNU-UEB), Hanoi. The visit resulted in the signing of a student exchange agreement designed to strengthen cooperation between the two institutions.
On 17 November 2024 ICEF opened its doors to the prospective students looking to join its Master’s Programme in Financial Economics, providing a comprehensive insight into its range of courses and daily pursuits. Those who couldn’t attend in person were able to join the session online.
HSE University and the Southwestern University of Finance and Economics (SWUFE) have signed a cooperation agreement to jointly offer an undergraduate double-degree programme in economics and finance. Within this collaboration, HSE ICEF is partnering with the SWUFE Research Institute of Economics and Management (RIEM), founded in 2006 as a premier research institution and provider of economics and finance education meeting high international standards.
