Meet Maria Silkina, a second-year master’s student and number one in ICEF student rating who successfully combines her student experience with a job on Moscow Exchange Derivatives Market and sports.

HSE University and the Southwestern University of Finance and Economics (SWUFE) have signed a cooperation agreement to jointly offer an undergraduate double-degree programme in economics and finance. Within this collaboration, HSE ICEF is partnering with the SWUFE Research Institute of Economics and Management (RIEM), founded in 2006 as a premier research institution and provider of economics and finance education meeting high international standards.

Currently in his second year at ICEF, Grigory shares about how many hours he works while studying, his personal achievement he’s most proud of, and what summer study options there are for ICEF students.

The BRICS Summer School 2023, held in Johannesburg, South Africa, spanned September 4 to 6 and was attended by ICEF’s master’s student Andrey Ilyin, who majors in Financial Economics and is a recipient of the RF Presidential Scholarship. Organised by the University of Johannesburg in collaboration with the South African BRICS Youth Association (SABYA), the Summer School provides a deeper understanding of the BRICS countries and their agenda, promoting also cultural awareness. In this interview Andrey shares his impressions of the Summer School, who he met there, and what struck him most about Africa.

ICEF’s MSc programme hosted the official welcome to its incoming class, where the students met with faculty and community leaders and were able to talk in a casual setting.
