ICEF Alumni Among Forbes 30 Under 30 Winners
Of the ten candidates shortlisted by Forbes 30 Under 30 in Finance and Investment category, only three have been announced winners. Among them are two ICEF graduates – Oleg Bezumov and Olga Shikhantsova.
Every year, Forbes 30 Under 30 celebrates the success of individuals under 30 who have gained recognition as professionals at national or global levels. Each of its ten categories has ten candidates, of whom only three are selected as winners. The 2019 winners in Management category included Ekaterina Kolchina, who earned her bachelor’s from ICEF and was 27 years old when she assumed the post of Vice-President at Papa John’s Russia. Ekaterina is currently in charge of SBER AI-Transformation in Retail.
Furthermore, this year’s list of Forbes 20 Under 20 winners features HSE graduates in quite a number of categories – Science and Technology, Management, Finance and Investment, and Social Impact.

Looking back at my years at ICEF, I can safely say that one thing, rather a resource in my case, that I have benefitted greatly from is the community of ICEF, the values that are shared by its members, and the problem-solving skills that I have fully learned from them. What makes the student community of ICEF special? It’s being highly motivated, ambitious and oriented towards result. When you find yourself surrounded by positive energy, you have no excuse to be lazy. The only way is up.
The faculty staff – undeniably professional and leaders in their fields – are examples for students to look up to and to pursue excellence. Graduates accumulate all the positive qualities of their mentors, each in their own way and in their own occupational niche, be it business, research or banking.
In my case, ICEF has proved to be invaluable in my career and life. I fell in love with London when I first joined LSE Summer School. I realized how huge, unembraceable the financial world of London is, offering a lot more lucrative opportunities and experience in companies with century-old history.
