Welcome Ceremony Held for Second Year ICEF Students in UoL International Programme

On September 13, ICEF hosted a welcome ceremony for the BSc double degree programme’s second year students, who will be commencing their studies in the University of London’s (UoL) International Programme.

Students who successfully mastered the first year curriculum and passed all required international exams (around 220 students) were admitted to the UoL International Programme and are now officially students of two universities.

UoL top officials, including Professor Wendy Thomson, UoL Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Mary Stiasny, UoL Pro Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive of the UoL International Programme, and Professor David Webb, LSE Pro-Director; as well as LSE.ICEF Project Dean Dr. Jörn Rothe and LSE.ICEF Academic Coordinator Professor Kevin Sheedy, congratulated the students on this occasion. On the part of ICEF, the students were greeted by College Director Sergey Yakovlev and Deputy Director Oleg Zamkov.

During the meeting with guests from UoL and LSE best ICEF students were awarded with certificates of honor.

At the end of the ceremony, the UoL and LSE representatives shook student’s hands and wished them the best of luck.

For the third year, such student welcome ceremony was held at ICEF. Such events help students feel that they are a part of UoL’s large international community of students, alumni and professors.
