University of London teaching institutions symposium 2017

On March 8-9 2017 the University of London (UoL) hosted the annual Teaching institutions symposium on topic Culture of Excellence: Embracing Challenges and Change. Professors and administrators of the London School of Economics (LSE) and UoL programmes talked about new international programmes and courses development, future plans, the development of UoL informational system Virtual Learning Environment, about new teaching methods and approaches and other aspects. Symposium was opened by the UoL Vice-Chancellor Professor Sir Adrian Smith, LSE section was opened by the LSE Director Professor Paul Kelly.

ICEF took part in organizing and conducting the session, devoted to the double-degree programmes. Around 30 people attended and represented the universities that implement or are planning to develop the double-degree programmes in the UK, Russia, Turkey, Serbia, countries of Asia and Latin America. ICEF experience in double-degree programme development was highly appreciated by participants. Representatives from UoL, LSE and other universities noted that ICEF programme is one of the most successful double-degree programmes with the UoL participation in the world. ICEF Director Sergey Yakovlev and Deputy-Director Oleg Zamkov made a presentation on ICEF experience.
