About the programme:

The Master of Financial Economics is a unique two-year programme that continues to be successfully delivered since 2007 in a collaborative effort with The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Since 2017, when the programme joined the ranks of a joint degree one, it offers a double-degree track with LUISS, Italy’s leading private university. HSE ICEF faculty boast professors and research fellows with PhD degrees from the world’s top-ranking universities, assisted by a team of practicing experts representing, among others, Sberbank, Gazprom, KPMG, Deloitte, BCS.

The programme is intended for BSc or equivalent degree holders. It unfolds through a curriculum that concentrates on Economics and quantitative courses and has advanced mathematics and statistics as core courses for entire year.

Our graduates build careers as economists or analysts in investment banking, strategic consulting and real economy worldwide (Boston Consulting Group, McKinsey & Company, Oliver Wyman, Morgan Stanley, Barclays Capital, Merrill Lynch, Goldman Sachs, among others). More and more graduates choose to pursue PhD degrees and academic careers by enrolling in some of the leading western schools including LSE, University of Oxford, MIT, University of Cambridge, University of California, Berkeley, Imperial College London, and Bocconi University.

Speakers:

Anna Yurko

Anna serves as an assistant academic supervisor of the MSc Programme in Financial Economics and is a full-time professor at HSE ICEF campus in Moscow. She earned her PhD in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin. Anna’s research interests lie in Family Economics, Labor Economics, and Computational Economics. Her research is published in some of the world’s leading journals including European Economic Review, International Journal of Industrial Organization, and Labor Economics.

Vladimir Malygin

A master of Financial Economics of the Class of 2018, Vladimir serves as a quantitative analyst at Aegon Investment Management (CIO Unit/The Netherlands), a company entrusted by investors worldwide to manage €316 billion. Vladimir’s functions span data analysis and investment optimization modeling.

Vladislav Glazov

A master of Financial Economics of the Class of 2018, Vladislav works as a consultant at PwC (Germany) Regulatory Quant Team. His job responsibilities involve credit risk modeling for calculating banks’ expected and unexpected credit losses.

Artem Tokarenko

Artem is a graduate of ICEF Master of Financial Economics Programme (Class of 2015). He serves at Credit Suisse (UK) as equity research analyst.
