II International Moscow Finance Conference
November 9-10, 2012 the Higher School of Economics (HSE) hosted the Second International Moscow Finance Conference, organized by the International Laboratory of Financial Economics (LFE) and ICEF.
The Conference was opened by the HSE First Vice Rector Leonid Gokhberg and ICEF Director Sergey Yakovlev.
The Conference consisted of five sessions, the participants of which were the experts in financial economics from the HSE (including ICEF), NES and foreign universities: London School of Economics (Georgy Chabakauri, Stephane Guibaud, Christian Julliard), Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley (Dmitry Livdan), University of Turin (Giovanna Nicodano), Durham University (Bart Taub), Oxford University (Dimitrios Tsomocos), University of Belgrade (Branko Urošević). The public lecture on Macro-modeling, default and money by Dr Dimitrios Tsomocos (Oxford University) was held within the framework of the conference. In addition to the participants of the conference, the sessions were attended by researchers, teachers and students, united by an interest in financial economics.
November 9th, in the evening the participants of the conference, ICEF teachers and administrative staff were invited to attend a reception on the occasion of the ICEF 15th anniversary, where they had the opportunity to communicate with each other in a less formal atmosphere, exchange opinions and ideas after the first day of the conference.
