The lecture was of great interest to students as well as to teachers, professors, and specialists. The Cultural Centre's conference hall was so overbooked that several guests were listening to the lecture while sitting on the sidesteps. Mr. Davies described the current economic situation as a drama of 5 parts: "subprime", "liquidity", "unravelling", "meltdown" and "pumping". Then, Mr. Davies shared his recipes for overcoming the crisis and ended the lecture with a quotation by former US Vice President Dan Qyane: "Bank losses are caused by depositors who don't deposit enough money to cover losses due to mismanagement". The audience awarded the lecture with heavy applause.
