Accommodation

All ICEF students are provided with a place in one of HSE dormitories. Currently there are 9 HSE student residences which are situated in the different parts of the city. The majority of international students live in the resident on Studencheskaya Ulitsa, 33/1. However other options are also available. The monthly fee varies for different dormitories but it does not exceed 1560 RUB per month. If you are not a student of HSE yet but you are coming to Moscow to take an exam or participate in a summer school you can also stay in one of the HSE dormitories, in that case the fee will be 5400 RUB per month. All HSE dormitories have both wired and wireless (Wi-Fi) internet access.

Transport

Students transport cards offer substantial discounts on underground transport, buses, trolleybuses etc. Student underground monthly pass costs 380 RUB. Student montly pass for ground transport (buses, trams, trolleybuses, etc.) costs 250 RUB. Average taxi trip inside Moscow: 300 - 1000 RUB depending on the distance travelled and the traffic jams. We recommend you using official taxi mobile applications for cheaper and safer trips.

ICEF campus is situated in the center of Moscow in the 5-minute walking distance from the underground station Shaboloskaya (line 6). There is also tram station of trams №14, 26, 47, А.

Food

At the HSE cafeteria breakfast/lunch will cost you approximately 150-200 RUB. There is also a set menu which costs around 125 RUB. Moscow has a huge variety of restaurants and cafes for every taste. Normally, it is possible to have a business lunch for 350-500 RUB; good dinner will cost for about 800-1200 RUB per person. However, fast-food restaurants are much cheaper.

The expenses for buying food and beverages and cooking at home are approximately 2000 RUB per week.

Mobile phone and internet

An unlimited mobile internet and calls across Russia will costs around 500-1000 RUB per month, depending on a provider.
