ICEF BSc Programme: HSE and University of London double degree program in Economics

Entry examination:

International applicants have to pass 2 examinations: English language and Mathematics. Mathematics exam can be taken either in English or in Russian.

For information: applicants can also take Russian Unified State Exam (EGE) in English and Mathematics. The scores can be submitted replacing the scores of the internal exams.

Requirements to international applicants

We expect high-skilled and motivated applicants who possess high level of English knowledge and good mathematical background. Applicants must be high school graduates. We accept students with high school certificate from around the world. The level of received high school education should be equivalent to the US, British or Russian level of high school education.

Proficiency in English:

We ask applicants to provide evidence of their command of English. Experience has shown that students who are fully proficient in English are best placed to make the most of all that ICEF has to offer, both academically and socially. We expect that applicants’ entry level of English is equivalent to an overall score of at least 5.5 of International English Language Testing System (IELTS). Russian applicants must provide their Unified State Exam (USE) score in English; the minimum score for eligible application is 70 out of 100.

Proficiency in Mathematics:

We are looking for applicants with strong mathematical background. This is due to the structure of the degree programme at ICEF for which high levels of mathematical ability are essential. Thus it is a requirement that applicants have completed the course of Mathematics in high school in the USA, the UK, Russia or other equivalent. The final grade for high school Mathematics course should be 70% of maximum score or higher. Russian applicants must provide their Unified State Exam (USE) score in Mathematics; the minimum score for eligible application is 60 out of 100.

The minimum requirement for applicants is to have 130 scores out of 200 for the sum of 2 USE exams.
