ICEF Open Day: BSc Programme

On March 20^th 2016, over 600 prospective students and their parents attended the ICEF BSc Programme Open Day.

The presentation of the double degree bachelor’s programme (in Russian) was shown in four auditoria. The prospective students were addressed by ICEF Director Sergey Yakovlev, Deputy Directors Oleg Zamkov and Alexei Belianin, and head of the Research Methodologies department Sergey Konyshev. Anna Romanovskaya, ICEF graduate and Director’s advisor on relations with students, graduates and employers, and Project Coordinator Polina Beloborodova also met with attendees, as did Olga Nechaeva, BSc Programme Coordinator, and Nadezhda Popova, representative of the HSE Admissions Office.

Prospective students and their parents also met with course curator and ICEF graduate Elena Bernova, as well as Alexander Pryanichnikov, head of the Finance and Contracts Unit. Two ICEF graduates were also specially invited: Nina Dergynova (2006), an equities analyst in the metallurgical and mining sectors at Goldman Sachs, and Alina Sunsheva (2013), an analyst at HSBC. Prospective students found out about the institute as a whole, the double degree programme, the faculty, and available specialisations, as well as the application process and future employment and academic prospects. Student representatives from each year of study were also on hand to answer any of the participants’ questions. They also discussed their experiences of applying to ICEF, of studying here and of life outside the classroom.
