2007 ICEF graduation ceremony

On September 14, 2007, the seventh ICEF BSc programme graduation ceremony took place at the British embassy in Moscow. The Bachelors received diplomas from the SU-HSE and from the London School of Economics. >>

For ICEF’s BSc programme 2007 graduates, Friday, September 14, was a very special day: they were going to receive their diplomas! At 2 p.m. the bachelors gathered on the university campus to listen to instructions, put on their dressing gowns and take pictures. Then, shortly before 6 p.m., the ICEF delegation arrived at the embassy of Great Britain in Moscow, where the seventh ICEF graduation ceremony took place. The graduates were awarded two diplomas: Bachelor of Economics from the State University – Higher School of Economics; and Bachelor of one of the specializations: Economics, Economics and Management, Banking and Finance from the London School of Economics.

Russian diplomas were awarded by the ICEF Director S.M. Yakovlev while the British ones – by the Ambassador of Her Majesty in Russian Federation, Anthony Brenton. This year 78 Bachelors graduated from the ICEF. Among them, 15 (a new record!) earned a First Class Honours degree, and 7 of these also received a SU-HSE Honours diploma. LSE Deputy Director for International Relations Robin Howard, SU-HSE Senior academic advisor E.G. Yasin, and SU-HSE President A.N. Shokhin all spoke to the graduates. As a part of the ceremony, SU-HSE Honourary Professor diplomas were presented to ICEF project Director from LSE Richard Jackman and Senior academic advisor Amos Witztum, who in their turn congratulated the graduates and wished them further success.

After the ceremony, the graduates, their parents, teachers and administration representatives continued to celebrate in a less formal atmosphere of happy smiles, photo camera flashes and congratulations…

ICEF staff and students wish our graduates to be confident in themselves, to aim higher and higher and to find their way in life!
