ICEF’s International Partner Southwestern University of Finance and Economics (Chengdu, China) Celebrated Its Centennial
The Southwestern University of Finance and Economics (SWUFE) is a leading university in China, ranking among the country’s top three providers of finance education according to Shanghai Ranking 2024. Its international partnership with ICEF HSE, where SWUFE is represented by Research Institute of Economics and Management (RIEM SWUFE), has produced and been actively promoting two double-degree programmes – bachelor's and master's. In July 2025, ICEF will be holding the International Summer School in Economics and Finance for students of its partner universities, of whom fifteen are the SWUFE students. Also in July, fifteen students of ICEF are due for RIEM SWUFE for the course of Summer School.
Founded in 1925, the Southwestern University of Finance and Economics celebrated its 100th anniversary on June 1. In his Letter of Congratulation addressed to SWUFE President Li Yongqiang, HSE University Rector Nikita Anisimov extended his best wishes for SWUFE to enjoy a continued, sustainable growth and prosperity and for its staff, undergraduates and graduate students to attain new academic heights and maintain good health and well-being for many years to come.
